Creationville
(to the tune of "Margaritaville")

Dave Williams

Sittin' at my laptop,
Sippin' on a cold pop,
Hittin' "Reload" to see if anything's new,
If there is, I try reading,
Through their ideas I'm weeding,
Where they get these notions I haven't a clue

Wasting my time again with the creationists,
Looking for their latest fallacy,
Some people say they'll never see things our way,
But I still,
think we'll make them see.

The twists in their logic,
Are quite nearly comic,
"We know that the Bible's true, just look at this verse."
But I know they're not kidding,
They think they're doing God's bidding,
Their total sincerity just makes it worse.

Wasting my time again with the creationists,
Looking for their latest fallacy,
Some people say they'll never see things our way,
But I still,
think we'll make them see.

I ask them what "kinds" are,
But I know I won't get far,
Their grasp of taxonomy is really confused,
They quote-mine from websites,
But still gain no insights,
I've never seen science be so abused

Wasting my time again with the creationists,
Looking for their latest fallacy,
Some people say they'll never see things our way,
But I still,
think we'll make them see.
